Johanna Taylor (she/her, pron. Joe-HANNAH) is a freelance illustrator, concept artist, comic artist and creator of the YA graphic novel THE GHOSTKEEPER (Penguin Putnam, 2024 (English); Editions Jungle, 2025 (French)). She has a BFA in animation, and focused her studies on concept art, storyboarding, and sequential storytelling. She is an avid player of tabletop RPGs, and contributed artwork to the ENnie award-nominated Uncaged Anthology, The Venture Maidens Campaign Guide, and other RPG-based publications. Johanna enjoys creating stories with folkloric themes, mental health narratives, dark comedies, historical fantasies, magical realism, and D&D-style adventures.

Johanna is a member of Cartoonists United, and has contributed comics and illustrations to publishing houses such as Oni Lion Forge, Iron Circus Comics, Penguin Random House, and MIT Press. She is currently illustrating the YA graphic novel SLEEPING WIZARDS, written by Rusty Marcum, set to release with Iron Circus in 2027.
